Concept Brief

A Shift from Ornamental Excess to Spatial Purity

In the heart of Jaipur's C-Scheme district, on what was once a barren plot, now stands Mirove — an 8,000 sq.ft. restaurant project that redefines the architectural language of the Pink City. Designed and executed from scratch by Pantone Collective, the design is a layered narrative rooted in vernacular inspiration and expressed through a minimalist, brutalist vocabulary.

A Modern Reflection

Jaipur is interpreted through a contemporary lens. The structure rises with a massive 60-foot wide curved facade, its volume grounded in concrete yet elevated through detail, proportion, and materiality.

Design Philosophy

Jantar Mantar's Geometry, Reimagined in Concrete

The design draws heavily from Jaipur's architectural typologies — the geometries of Jantar Mantar, the repetition of traditional arches, and the city's iconic pink chromatic identity, steered into a more minimal and modern direction through a muted rouge tone.

Form as Storytelling

Arches in both upright and inverted orientations, circular punctures that soften monolithic walls, and ascending fin walls cast dynamic shadows throughout the day. The plan centres around a custom-designed 360-degree bar, anchoring both indoor and outdoor zones into one seamless flow.

Furniture and upholstery are custom-designed to reinforce this language, with flowing scalloped seat backs and monotone finishes that echo the architecture's curves and quietude.

Material Palette

Texture is central to the spatial experience — from raw sand-textured plaster to glazed ceramic and handcrafted granite, every surface at Mirove is tuned to invite touch and curiosity.

Sand-Textured Plaster

Walls are finished in a heavy-grain plaster — some surfaces minimal and smooth, others dense and raw — mimicking the shifting patterns of sand.

Rouge Checkered Flooring

A nod to local craftsmanship — checkered flooring in rouge tones, handcrafted from locally sourced granite.

360° Ceramic-Clad Bar

Custom-glazed ceramic tiles in varying rouge hues, with glossy undulations that contrast the matte roughness of the walls.

Custom Ivory Lighting

Custom-designed fixtures add soft ivory warmth, breaking visual monotony and creating ambient contrast at golden hour.
