The Concept
A Bar Where the Floor Speaks Loudest
Buen is envisioned as a bar garden where the floor becomes the primary medium of expression — a walkable artwork that defines the space in the absence of walls and ceilings. A previously barren roof deck was raised to align with the mezzanine entry, creating a vast open terrace where the ground plane shapes identity and movement.
Design Philosophy
"The world is our muse. And our bar is the tribute." Inspired by the bold and playful spirit of 1960s design, Buen is a feast for the senses — an experience shared, celebrated, and felt long after you've left the terrace.
The Floor as Canvas
An In-Situ Terrazzo Unfolds Underfoot
Crafted as an art installation, the terrazzo floor unfolds through fluid geometries, intuitive patterns, and earthy tones. Guided by steel inlays, each pour is expressive and tactile — blurring the line between architecture and art.
Spatial Experience
Open to the Delhi sky, surrounded by canopied green, Buen is designed to be felt as much as seen. The spiral staircase — clad in matte olive — winds from street level up through a choreographed arrival sequence.
A mirrored biomorphic sculpture reflects the sky, while glass-block walls curve and filter tropical light across the terrace.
Feast for the Senses
Every detail is layered to create rhythm — open-sky dining, a curated cocktail programme, and a commissioned terrazzo floor play against a mirrored sculpture garden for a refined, immersive experience.
